Who didn't chime along with Ron Popeil when he started..."Set it and..." I nearly bought a rotissere grill based on that famous call-and-response. I wanted to set it and forget it.
How many other childhood allusions (illusions?) must I now re-consider? Maybe I shouldn't wait...maybe there wont' be more? Maybe i can't get "all this and more". Maybe I should stop holding my breath and really pay the "full price" I would expect to pay...rather than waiting for someone to keep lowering the price and giving more than I could ever expect. Maybe my days of dreaming of cutting pennies and tin cans has come to an end. Maybe I won't be able to sit and relax while fishing but instead I will have to hold the pole myself and wait to feel the bite. Maybe (gasp) I won't be able to cut my hair without any mess! Oh, for the love of a flow-be.
